i've found something! :)

This list of tips should provide you with some insight to get a good policy for your vehicle.

Before you purchase a vehicle, look into how much it will cost to insure the car. Contact an insurance agent to determine which cars have better rates than others. Selecting a car with a low insurance rate can help when buying a new or used vehicle. A car with a higher safety rating will save you money in the long run on the lower cost of your insurance premium.

To save cash when buying auto insurance for a teenage driver, be sure to determine if you will pay less if you get them a separate policy or if you should just add them to the policy that you have. Sometimes, getting your teenager their own policy might be less expensive.

Often, people expect that their car insurance rates will automatically go down after they turn 25. Actually, a drivers insurance rates gradually start to go down when they reach the age of 18 provided that the driver has a clean driving record.

Consider using public transportation or organizing a carpool. Driving less is one great way to show responsibility as a consumer and impress your insurance company. Letting your agent know that you carpool or ride the bus may help him or her find you a discount that will reduce your premium.

There is a myth that insurance premiums instantly go down when people turn 25. If you have a good driver record, your premiums will go down as you age, even if you are still under 25.

It's imperative that you obtain property damage liability when you purchase vehicle insurance. If you cause property damage in an accident, this type of coverage will protect your assets. The majority of states require drivers to carry this coverage. If you do get into an accident, having property damage liability can save you quite a bit of money.

Keeping a clean driving record is the best car insurance tip you can get. Nothing sends your insurance payments skyrocketing as rapidly as a driving accident. Avoid dangerous situations and know your driving limits to ensure you stay safe and pay less. If you have poor night vision, avoid driving at night.

Review your policy each year to make sure that you are not paying for coverage that you no longer need. The comprehensive and collision coverages are worth reconsidering for an older car. You may benefit from adjusting these downward, or even drop them entirely. Forgoing collision coverage can result in significant savings. You may also want to consider dropping comprehensive and liability coverage.

Bundling your insurance can help you save on auto insurance. Look for offers such as bundling home and auto. A bundled insurance package does not always offer the best coverage and you should be sure to select plans that offer you a good price for good coverage for both your home and car.

No two insurance companies are alike. If you are unhappy with the quote you received on your car, be sure to check out several competitors as they all have different prices available.

When you are comparison shopping for auto insurance, remember that the quotes you are given for your annual premium are just one component of the total policy package. Make sure you get information on all of a policy's details, such as the amount of your deductible if you are involved in an accident, the limits that are placed on any benefits you receive and the levels on your various types of coverage.

If you plan to move in the near future, be sure to check the car insurance rates of the location you are considering. Areas that have high crime or are dangerous for other reasons have higher rates, while less-dangerous areas, such as suburbs and rural areas, usually have lower rates.

Enrolling in a defensive driving course is one of the simplest ways to save on auto insurance. Most auto insurance providers offer some type of discount for taking these courses. In addition, the course itself can help you by teaching you to be a safer driver. A safe drivers course can be found at many different community colleges, driving schools or recreational centers. These classes are also available as Internet-based learning courses.

There should be a "consumer complaint ratio" for many insurance companies in your state. These statistics include consumer complaint ratios, which should give you a good idea of how well the company serves its customers.

By raising your credit score it is possible to obtain cheaper motor vehicle insurance. Like many other companies, auto insurance agencies check credit. Studies have shown that a low credit score usually goes together with a higher risk to get into accidents. You should strive to maintain or improve your credit rating to save the maximum amount on your insurance premiums.
